flowers to brighten a cold winter day
This post is mostly going to be photos, since I really wanted to share these. I had a lot of fun taking these on Friday, when I braved the cold and ventured out to the flower shop where I bought these 2 gerber daisies. I thought everyone might enjoy some flower photos to cheer them up from the cold temps (if you are in the northern hemisphere - I suppose if you are in the southern hemisphere you have plenty of flowers around you & warm temps & I am so jealous of that! :)
I think that this last photo might be my favorite of this series…. (Oh calling it a series of photos makes me think that I need a name for this series - and have you ever said series over & over, it starts to sound weird if you do:)
I am really enjoying Project 365, but I can tell that it is going to be a bit more difficult this week to think up subjects than last week. That is probably due in part to the freezing cold temperatures outside and my reluctance to step foot outdoors for fear of freezing (and there is only so much I can find indoors to photograph that is interesting:)

Great photos. I always try to keep fresh flowers on hand this time of year. It was 8 degrees out this morning when I took the kids to school. All I can say is layers.
yes, great photos! and i can’t wait for it to warm up just a bit. and some sun! we need sun! its getting tough to find those indoor shots!
I’m telling ya, you need to come to the southwest! Today we had a high of 65 degrees and a low of 39. I couldn’t live in snowy areas. I get crazy cold if it gets below 50!
Your flowers are beautiful! I think the last one is my favorite too. I’m doing the 365 challenge too. I think it is going to be harder than I thought. I took a few picutes today and I don’t think they are even upload worthy. Having a pounding headache doesn’t help matters though. You’re doing a beautiful job though.
thanks for the flower photos. I am living in the frozen tundra (it seems) and not enjoying it so much. they are such pretty flowers + great photos!

The flower photo you chose for the swap is so elegant. I really love the contrast of creamy white colors, and the crispness of the flower petals. I have enjoyed the swap, (and wondered how you were able to put your blog link under the swap photo)?
BTW…it is warm (66) down in Texas, and I am longing for cooler weather~seems like it will be here tomorrow afternoon (high of 60). I can’t wait!
