My little shipping/crafting helper, Axel :)
Supposedly between Google Reader & Bloglines alone, I have 63 subscribers to my blog (which I know is small compared to some of your blogs, but I am amazed you are all out there reading this:) Crafting is going to resume soon I promise (I am having such a hard time keeping my fall swap handmade item under wraps - I so want to show what I made, but really want to wait for Kelly to get it in the mail first:)… In the meantime though, until I get around to some crafting (which is definitely in the plan for tomorrow - I have a bunch of projects to start) I have been tagged once again and figure I would follow through with it since it seems like a fun little meme.
Rashida of I Heart Linen (which is a great blog, if you don’t already read it), tagged me for this 4 things about me… Here goes! :)
Jobs I’ve Had:
- Administrative Assistant at a radio station
- Customer Service Representative (sounds much cooler than it was!) at a bridal shop
- Piano Teacher (probably one of my favorite jobs - I had about 8-10 students and it was fun to be able to see each of them learn)
- Veterinary Assistant at a humane society (a tough job in a lot of ways, but I loved working with the animals and being able to help in a small way. plus we got Axel because I had this job.)
Places I’ve Lived:
- Wisconsin
- Minnesota
- Wisconsin (again)
- Illinois
(This list makes it seem like I really love the midwest United States… which I do in some ways. I have traveled a decent amount, I just haven’t lived outside of the midwest yet -being the key word;)
Foods I Love:
(This category isn’t going to be very creative, honestly I am a pretty boring eater. I dislike spicy foods & most weird foods.)
- Cheese Pizza
- Lindt Peanut Butter Truffles
- Vegetable Fried Rice (the kind that Ben makes, which is probably a bit healthier than your typical fried rice & it also has tofu in it which I really like)
- Tea (okay it isn’t technically a food, so much as a beverage but I love it)
Websites I Visit:
- Google Reader (for all your wonderful blogs!)
- Gmail (for all my email of course… Ben got me a gmail account when it first came out & was by invite only & the invites were very hard to come by. I had to have one though - and now I have three!)
- Flickr
- Etsy
Places I’d Rather Be:
- Anyplace besides Illinois (I don’t really talk about this much on my blog, actually never and I may never mention it again… but I don’t particularly care for living in Illinois. It is a good state in many ways and I like certain things about it, but I don’t think I could live here forever. I would miss living near water for one thing - this is the first place I have lived without a real lake nearby!)
- England
- Washington state
- On the beach by the ocean
Movies I Love & TV Shows I Watch:
Ben & I actually don’t have a tv, so I guess these 2 categories are fairly irrelevant to me:)
People I Tag:
Anyone who actually read this far! :)

I had all sorts of plans for today, like waking up early before sunrise to get outside and take some photos during the early morning light or actually trying this crafting tutorial I found the other day and bought the supplies for… None of it happened though, and while it was a nice relaxing day there isn’t too much to say about it…. So instead a photo of Pounce that I took a couple months ago. I didn’t post it at the time, because I have taken better photos but I sort of like it…

Hopefully tomorrow I will have a bit more to say…

Awhile back Angie tagged me to list 6-8 things I am thankful for. I am usually pretty terrible at remembering to follow through on tags & memes (which did you know is not pronounced me - me, but rather meem - or something like that since I am not that great at spelling out how things sound). Anyways… I figured since I am trying to post everyday, I might actually follow through with this tagging. :)
I am thankful for…
- My husband, Ben, who can make ordering pizza into a math problem, is my best friend and is a wonderful husband:)
- My 2 adorably cute cats, Pounce & Axel (both came to us in the most unexpected ways and I feel so grateful that they are ours)
- Families… mine & Ben’s (Hi all of you! I know you are out there reading this! :)
- My sister (I know she is also part of family, but I think she deserves her own mention). It takes a long drive or a ride in an airplane these days to visit with her, but she is my other best friend and the best sister a girl could have! :)
- My camera (I know this one might seem silly, but I really am thankful for my camera:)
- Creativity and being able to express that creativity
I was going to go ahead and tag some people for this, but I just can’t decide who to tag. (It feels too much like being a little kid in grade school and not wanting someone to feel left out or like the last one picked…) So feel free to join in if you want! I would love to read what you are thankful for:)

Thanks everyone for your sweet words! I am feeling much better today:) I have also gotten to use a bit of that linen up, but I can’t show what I have made with it yet since it is going to my fall swap partner, Kelly… Have I ever mentioned that I am terrible with surprises? I am okay with keeping secrets, but when it comes to a surprise present/gift sort of thing then I go crazy:) (Every year since I was little, I always asked my dad what I was getting for Christmas and he always told me because I just couldn’t wait. I also always offer to tell people what I am giving them for presents, which for some reason some people don’t appreciate knowing the same way I do…)
Did anyone else realize that November is National Blog Posting Month again? Well, apparently one or two did because I read about it on other blogs (not that I have been doing much blog reading lately, my feed reader is starting to look a bit scary with all those unread posts!). I think I am going to try to join in and post each day in November, although some days might just be photos or such. Anyone else joining in? I think it should be fun to try to get back into posting a bit more frequently, and maybe it will even get me to do a bit more crafting so I have something to talk about:)
