November 19th

Published by charamichele at 8:28 pm under Uncategorized

I have received many lovely goodies in the mail lately… (Don’t you love when that happens!)

This weekend I received a lovely package from Kelly in Australia for the fall swap (how cool to get mail from a country I have never visited). The generosity and friendship from other bloggers still amazes me sometimes… It has been so neat to get to know Kelly through her blog & emailing. I was so excited to open the package from her I almost didn’t wait till I got back in the house:) (I think the postman must think I am crazy, can anyone relate to that? :) Kelly sent so many lovely goodies…

An Australian magazine (love this Kelly!), some very cute little bags for putting goodies in (with French writing on them… gah love these!), 2 (!) notepads designed by Kristen Doran (whose work I love & I don’t think Kelly even knew that:), very cute Christmasy fabric (that I think might be a table runner? Am I right about that Kelly?), a lovely postcard by Simply Photo. Of course the best part of the whole package was the handmade skirt that she made me!

This skirt is absolutely perfect for fall weather! Thanks Kelly!

Then today look what I got in the mail…

A new laptop to replace my old one which died:) Is it wrong to think your computer is pretty? :) I actually got to pick a color for the cover of this & it is midnight blue:)

LOL, I always choose electronics based on how “sexy” they are.

Hi Chara! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Too bad we won’t see eachother… but it is a well know fact that we are going to have an AMAZING Christmas. I miss you and loved chatting the other day. Sorry I seemed spacey! I am officially nocturnal! I wonder how I am going to ever manage functioning during the day again.

Ohhh I’m so Jealous. What a great package. Hope there’s a picture of you wearing the skirt in the near future too. I have a Dell and love it too. Although mine is just black. That’s ok.

    Chara,
Your Fall Swap items are so nice and that skirt to die for. I love your laptop, you must have been pretty good this year. Thanks so much for hosting the Fall swap.
Everything went great. I love my partner, this is my 2nd time with Judy at http://journals.aol.com/jbernardoffice/JudysCrafts/ as my partner. We were just partners in the Halloween Swap too.
I feel like I know her now. Have a great Thanksgiving. :) Bren

I know what you mean about thinking your computer is beautiful. I got a MacBook Pro a year or so ago and every day I look at it and think about how pretty it is. Our technological devices should all be so aesthetically pleasing! Good design can never be overrated.
