Love your fabric napkins. I have a viking. It's a great machine, but when I tried to upgrade my machine they wouldn't let me because I had bought it in a different state. The place I purchased it (in Texas) said that the upgrade would be honored anywhere. It really ticked me off. Wish I would have just saved up and bought a Bernina. Perfect!! Then I bought a Pfaff Hobby (1122) and I love it. It is very basic but has a great feel to it. I had bought a Singer with a million stitches but returned it because it was so flimsy. My Pfaff wasn't that expensive either and you never have to oil it! Bonus! I had a fake Bernina (their Bernette line) for a couple years before it finally gave up the ghost. I hate to be just another one of the bernina-lovin' zillions, but after trying and owning LOTS of other machines....I would highly recommend that you check Bernina out before you make your decision. Gotta love that built on walk on foot (which you have to pay more for). Mine is a 1471 which is an oldie but inherited it from my Gran. Love the napkins and thanks for the swap. I also liked your apron and I have used amy butler patterns before and have run into the same problems they're a good "foundation" but I usually tweak them a little. I have a Janome 6500 and love it, it has a big throat area and many extra stitches. Hope this helps and can't wait to see what you buy if you purchase something. Janey I love the napkins.
