This is the new “wristlet” that I made yesterday. It isn’t very big, but it does fit my keys, cellphone, and drivers license. The fabric is so light colored though that I had difficulty photographing it, so I set in on a placemat rather than directly on the table where it blended in:) I like it, but I am definitely going to tweak the design process a little more for the next one I make.
So horseback riding last night was fairly interesting and slightly eventful! My Tuesday class was canceled due to bad weather, so I had class last night instead. When I got to class, the horse that I usually ride had a swollen face so he couldn’t be rode. Instead I got to ride the horse that is known for being a little on the stubborn side. This is the same horse that one of the girls has never been able to get up to a trot, so I actually thought the night might be slightly boring if he was only going to go at a walk the whole class. Well, lets just say he didn’t just walk! He actually went at a trot just fine for me, and even accidentally broke into a canter at one point. My instructor was fairly surprised at that, he is kind of known for being a little lazy too. The accidental canter was not too bad, so my instructor said I could try an actual canter (on purpose) if I wanted. That did not go so great! He got up to a canter and decided to completely ignore the reins and me guiding him. We cantered around the arena switching directions whenever he felt like it, and I thought I was going to fall off at one point. I tried getting him to stop, but he wasn’t really interested in that either:) Finally (after what seemed forever, but was probably only a minute or two) he slowed down and stopped for me (not until he had almost ran into a wall though). It was definitely an interesting ride! It was a good experience too though, since my instructor gave me a few tips and actually told me I was doing a good job riding him. (Although, at moments like that you don’t necessarily feel like you are doing a good job riding:)
