Color Week Day 5: Red
I can’t believe this is the last day of color week! I have actually had quite a bit of fun each day finding the color for the day and photographing it. It definitely makes you think a little more creatively!
The red bridge at the botanical gardens & forest preserve, we visited today when Ben got home from work.
Me standing on the red bridge:) (Notice I am wearing two sweaters & a jacket! Silly weather, warm up already won’t you!)
We took a little path through the woods of the forest preserve alongside this river. Along our walk we saw a total of 12 deer! We actually saw 6 deer at a time each time we saw them, so it may have been the same herd of deer that we saw twice… Still very cool though as that was only my 2nd time ever seeing deer up that close. (Well at least live deer not been held in some sort of petting zoo.)
We also saw this very cool covered bridge. For some reason it reminds me of Anne of Green Gables… (Is there a covered bridge in that story at all? Hmm, maybe I will have to read some of those books again.)
Close up of the covered bridge from the walkway.
Hope everyone has an excellent weekend! On the agenda for my weekend, hang out with Ben and the cats, go to ballet, and maybe get a little sewing in.

I’m not sure that there were any covered bridges in Anne of Green Gables, but there sure was in Bridges of Madison County and that book made me cry!!! AWESOME photos!!!!
Great pictures! I love that little red bridge. Cute hat too by the way!
I love seeing deer. We get them in our front yard fairly often & I never get tried of seeing them. Keep an eye out I think that they will start having babies in the next month or so.
Beautiful pictures. I love covered bridges.
Wow, Chara, I think your “red” day picture was a perfect “grand finale”! Let’s see, maybe you should try to think of a different focus each week–or maybe that would be too stressful, but I am sure you could think of some fun ones.
Wonderful red bridge and hello to you!!!! And i love the covered bridge..
Hope you enjoyed the ballet!! :)
pretty bridge! so pretty!
and you are as cute as button!
